History

Ronan-Moore-Finch Funeral Home has been serving the DeKalb community since 1937. When it was built by the Nelson and Ronan families. It was then sold to Frank Moore in 1968, and he serviced the community until the Finch family bought the funeral home. In 1997, Sam Finch bought the funeral home naming the business Ronan-Moore-Finch. The Finch family has been in the funeral business since 1921 making Sam a 4th generation funeral director. Sam received his Bachelors of Science from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1994. As the generations before him Sam believes in hard work and providing their families with excellent service. That is why when Sam bought the funeral home in 1997 he decided to renovate all the rooms in the funeral home. The funeral home now have 2 spacious chapel rooms, and also has a family lounge. The entire funeral home is also fully handicap accessible.



 

 

Community

The Finch family enjoys being a family owned and operated business in the great community of DeKalb. They are both Members of the IFDA, Chamber of Commerce, and the DeKalb Elks #765. Sam is also the DeKalb Police and Fire Commissioner, and a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Sam knows the importance of a great community and strives to uphold the tradition, past down from generation to generation, of serving families with true respect and dignity that they desire.
