DeKalb, IL - Douglas W. Allen age 33 of DeKalb, IL, died on Tuesday May 31, 2011 in the Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb. Born on November 17, 1977 in Belvidere, IL, he was the son of Douglas A. Allen and Debra A. Poe.

Doug was married to the former Lyndsy Protano on September 23, 2010 in Sycamore. Doug was working for Upstaging Corp., in Sycamore as one of their mechanics. He has lived in the DeKalb community since 2008 moving here from Sycamore. He graduated from Hiawatha High School in 1996, and then he attended Lincoln Tech in Naperville.

Survivors include: wife: Lyndsy of DeKalb, son: Dominick Allen of DeKalb, mother: Debra A. Allen of Kirkland, father: Douglas D. Allen of WI, brother: David (Fiancée Sharon Childers) Allen of Kingston, nephew: Dakota Allen of Kingston, and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday June 4, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Ronan-Moore-Finch Funeral Home with Pastor Randy McCoy officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Park Cemetery DeKalb, Visitation will be held on Saturday June 4, 2011 at 10:00 am till the time of the service in the funeral home. Doug you were a good friend and a brother to me. I will miss all the late night drives and all the hang outs in Kirkland. All the good memories we had together growing up so many pictures to look back on. Go rest now that you are no longer in pain. I will miss you dearly. Doug, I have so many memories of you growing up, I wouldn't even know were to begin. Growing up in a small town it's easy for friends to become more like family. You were a great person and will be deeply missed by many. R.I.P
