Lee Howard Schwartz
Lee Howard Schwartz, 49, of DeKalb, died August 27, 2010, at the DeKalb County Rehab & Nursing Center of complications after living with multiple sclerosis for 22 years.
At his bedside were his wife of 23 years, Sandy Schwartz of DeKalb, and his two aunts, Carol Meckler of Sarasota, Fla., and Merle Breitman of Northbrook. He was also survived by his brother, Larry Schwarz of DeKalb, his grandmother, Betty Yablin of Lincolnwood, and his mother-in-law, Sally Navin of DeKalb.
He was born in Chicago the son of Stewart and Francine Schwartz. He graduated from the University of Colorado and was a realtor in Boulder, Colo., and then the northwest suburbs of Chicago, a profession well suited to being a people person.
A graveside funeral was held on Sunday, Aug. 29, at the Garden of Shalom at Fairview Park Cemetery, with Avi Bass of Congregation Beth Shalom of DeKalb and Sycamore officiating.
