DeKalb, IL - Cecelia Trotter, 88 of DeKalb died Saturday March 6, 2010 at Kindred Hospital in Sycamore, IL. She was born May 4, 1921 in Doniphan, Missouri to Jerome B. and Lina C. (Young) Trotter.

She moved to DeKalb in 1933 where she graduated from St. Mary Catholic School and DeKalb Township High School. She was a member the DeKalb Realtor and Professional Secretaries Association, St. Mary Catholic Church in DeKalb, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She also belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society. Cecelia was a secretary for many years in local real estate and insurance offices, the most recent being H. J. Hakala Realtors where she was also a licensed realtor for a few years.

Cecelia is survived by her sister Dolores and brother Delbert both of DeKalb and Sister-in-law H. Corrine Trotter. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers; Robert, Selvin, Alfred, and Freddie and two sisters; Lina and an infant sister.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday March 9, 2010 at 10:00 am in the St. Mary Catholic Church 321 Pine St. DeKalb, with Fr. Kenneth Anderson Officiating. Burial will be immediately following the Mass at the St. Mary Cemetery in DeKalb. Visitation will be on Monday March 8, 2010 from 4:00pm – 7:00 pm with a wake service at 6:30pm in the Ronan-Moore-Finch Funeral Home 310 Oak St. DeKalb.
