Louis Sisco - 96

DeKalb, IL - Louis Sisco age 96 of DeKalb, IL, died on Wednesday December 30, 2009 in his family home in DeKalb. Born on April 12, 1913 in Chicago, IL, he was the son of Pietro and Raffaela (Brutto) Sisco.

Louis was married to the late Virginia V. Weisenhofer on March 2, 1935 in St. Mary of Celle Catholic Church in Berwyn, IL. Louis worked for 25 years at McKesson-Robins Pharmacy Wholesale as their Pharmaceutical salesman. He then went to work for the DeKalb Clinic for 15 years as their Pharmacy Apprentice. Louis has lived in the DeKalb community since 1948 moving here from Berwyn, IL, he was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in DeKalb. He enjoyed bingo, golfing, playing hockey his morning coffee group at McDonalds, where he especially enjoyed his coffee and egg biscuit. Louis had played semi-pro baseball in Chicago. He enjoyed being with his family, and visiting his friends. Louis graduated from Morton High School in Cicero, IL.

Survivors include: daughters: Ginger (Stoddard) Allen of DeKalb, Cheryl Zuiker of Bellwood, PA, sons: Lew (Susan) Sisco of Aurora, IL, Larry Sisco of DeKalb, 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by: parents, wife: Virginia, infant-daughter: Judy Sisco, sisters: Rose Ella, Emily Covello, brothers: Sam, Carmen, and George.

Funeral mass will be held on Monday January 4, 2010 at 10:00 am in St. Mary Catholic Church DeKalb with Father Kenneth Anderson officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery DeKalb. Visitation will be held on Sunday January 3, 2010 at 2:00pm till 6:00pm with a Wake Service at 5:30pm in the funeral home.
