DeKalb, IL - Barbara J. Schmidt age 56 of Meridian Twp, MI, died on December 3, 2009 in her residence. Born on November 6, 1953 in Sycamore, IL, she was the daughter of Francis William and Margaret Lucille (Mullen) Michaelson.

Barbara was retired library clerk at Michigan State University in Lansing, MI. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1971, and then she graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1975.

Survivors include: sister: Julie Michaelson of Janesville, WI, aunts: Barbara Hagen of MI, Olive Michaelson of AZ, and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
