DeKalb, IL - Marjorie A. Hofbauer age 79 of DeKalb, IL, died on Wednesday December 16, 2009 in Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb. Born on January 19, 1930 in DeKalb, she was the daughter of James and Marjorie (Nelson) Sommerville.

Marjorie was married to Sylvester Hofbauer on October 22, 1954 in DeKalb. She was a loving homemaker, and especially enjoyed her time with the grandchildren, and was a huge animal lover. Marjorie has lived her entire life in the DeKalb community, and was a graduate of DeKalb High School class of 1948.

Survivors include: husband: Sylvester of DeKalb, daughter: Linda (Sam) Dvorak of DeKalb, sons: Michael Hofbauer, Terry Harrelson, Jim Hofbauer, Robin Hofbauer all of DeKalb, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, sister: Betty Sommerville of DeKalb. Preceded in death by: parents, and grandson: Richard Fant.

A celebration of life visitation will be held on Tuesday December 22, 2009 at 5:00pm till 7:00pm in the Ronan-Moore-Finch Funeral Home.
