DeKalb, IL - Phillip A. Lynn age 60 of DeKalb, IL, died on Friday September 4, 2009 in the Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb. He was born on July 2, 1949 in Mc Leansboro, IL; he was the son of Ernest R. and Georgia L. (Hedger) Lynn.

Phillip was married to the former Barbara A. Donaldson on February 14, 1971 in DeKalb. He worked for G.E. in DeKalb for 35 years, retiring from there on November 1, 2003. Philip then went to work for the First Student Bus Company driving the special needs student bus. He was a life long DeKalb resident, and attended Westminster Presbyterian Church of DeKalb. He was a member of the IUE Local #1081 in DeKalb, former member of the local DeKalb Car Club Road Angels, he enjoyed bowling, camping, traveling by train, and especially his trips to Disney World. He graduated from DeKalb High School class of 1967.

Survivors include: wife: Barbara of DeKalb, mother: Georgia L. Lynn of Eldorado, IL, several aunts, and uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father: Ernest R. Lynn.

Memorial service will be held on Monday September 7, 2009 at 2:00PM in the Westminster Presbyterian Church of DeKalb with Pastor Blake Richter and Pastor Karen Herbst-Kim officiating. Private family burial will be held on Tuesday September 8, 2009 in the Oakmound Cemetery in Somonauk, IL. Memorials may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation 1332 N.
